David M. Smith Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor and memory of David M. Smith, former Foundation Board member and pastor of the Greenwood United Methodist Church. David assisted in the establishment of the Learning Tree Scholarship and was a strong supporter of education.
This $800 scholarship is divided between two semesters. To be eligible the applicant must be enrolled at LFCC as a full- or part-time student, maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.5 GPA), and demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Preference will be given to a first generation college student.To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester.
The scholarship will be awarded to LFCC students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must be a full- or part-time student at LFCC
- Must have and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
- Preference will be given to a first generation college student
